RETURN ON MEANING on LinkedIn
How often would you like to get really angry in 2023?
"Feelings have no place at work" - fewer and fewer people would agree with this statement these days. Work environments are becoming increasingly personal and relationships between colleagues closer. But while it is hardly taboo to cry, anger is still a rather negatively connoted and socially little accepted emotion.
However, anger also has some positive aspects. For example, it serves as a warning signal when someone or something violates our boundaries and can act as a catalyst to initiate change and remedy grievances.
So how can we deal with our anger in a good way? First, we can hit the pause button and take a deep breath. Then acknowledge the anger as our own emotion and understand the need behind it. And last, we can try to find an appropriate way to live through the anger, such as exercising or getting some fresh air.
