Sustainability
Meaning implies responsibility
Our central concern is to strengthen meaningfulness in organizations through our work, and thereby to make a positive contribution to our society. In doing so, it is essential for us to think of meaningfulness in a sustainable way, applying a long-term perspective.
Our commitment to more sustainability
To us, this means assuming responsibility for the planet as well as for our own social interactions. This is exactly what we are trying to live in our day-to-day work, internally as well as working with our clients. We also network with other companies as a verified member of Leaders for Climate Action.
To make this pledge come to life, we have directly implemented concrete measures. Here are a few examples:
We no longer fly within Germany: Domestic flights – although once common for us as consultants – are a thing of the past, even though this is sometimes difficult. Wherever possible we travel by train and all our employees get a Bahncard 50.
Within Berlin we take the bike or public transport: To go to the office or visit our local clients we no longer use cars, but bike and public transport instead.
We offset our CO2 footprint: Even the most sustainable mobility creates CO2. That's why we invest in local green projects to offset our footprint. We have been doing this since 2016.
Mobility
We use green electricity: Our office is supplied with green electricity from Lichtblick.
A sustainable bank handles our finances: We use GLS-Bank for our financial affairs. GLS-Bank was the first social-ecological bank to explicitly support green, social and ethically responsible projects since 1974.
We use ecological materials: In our day-to-day office work, we avoid printouts as much as possible. When we do have to print, we use only recycled paper. When it comes to other office supplies, from moderation pens to cleaning agents, we are also mindful of ecologically degradable and reusable products.
Our food is vegan/vegetarian: For our events we exclusively use vegan and vegetarian catering. It goes without saying that our coffee is traded fairly and organically.
We share our learnings for digital sustainability: Every day we learn more about how we can move even more sustainably through the digital space. For this we maintain a wiki for digital sustainability hacks. For example, we use Ecosia for our searches and avoid virtual backgrounds in MS Teams/Zoom.
Office
We do pro bono projects on a regular basis: In addition to ecological responsibility, we also recognize our social responsibility. That's why we invest more than 150 hours a year in volunteer projects, for example with associations and NGOs.
We take a public stand: To send a joint signal for effective climate protection, we joined the global climate strikes in September 2019 & 2021 together as a team during working hours. We are also committed to more environmental protection in Berlin as part of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Social involvement
Change begins directly with us. We are constantly learning. In team events, we continue to look for solutions to reduce our carbon footprint even more. We want to use our resources as effective as possible for the common good. For us, this is responsibility in action and creates meaning. Stay tuned!
We mean it and believe in the power of networking with other companies.
