Background

Barbara Riedenbauer is a management consultant with with focus on mindfulness, personal and leadership development and cultural change. She holds a lectureship at the Mindful Leadership Institute in Austria.

She has twelve years of industry experience in a fast growing international packaging and paper company. Her last position was Head of Controlling, leading a team of diverse people and being the interface to various internal and external stakeholders, both nationally and internationally. Prior to this, she worked in Corporate Finance and Audit at one of the Big Four. 

Barbara holds a master diploma in International Business Administration from the University of Vienna. She is a certified coach (Coaching Trigon Entwicklungsberatung, Vienna), a certified teacher for Search Inside Yourself, the mindfulness program born at Google, certified for INSIGHTS MDI and holds various other certifications in management and facilitation (e.g. from Syst, Munich; Academy of Body Language, Vienna). She continuously keeps up to date with latest developments in her fields of expertise.

Barbara lives in Vienna, she works in German and English.

Client experience (selected examples)

  • Designing and facilitating (team) workshops on topics around leadership and development of a sustainable company culture as well as change management programs for international corporations in automotive and steel industry. Founding member of a companywide network for ‘growing leaders’.

  • Designing and conducting talks, workshops and programs to foster emotional intelligence and self-management/stress reduction via mindfulness for leaders and employees in various industries.

  • Designing and facilitating mindfulness-based workshops and programs on the topics of "leading self" and ”leading others" for international corporations in the paper and packaging industry, media, aviation and global consulting firms.

  • Facilitating 2-day Search Inside Yourself (SIY) trainings at DAX-listed companies in the IT and media industry as well as at the largest producer of renewable energies and the leading health and accident insurer in Switzerland. SIY is a mindfulness-based leadership development program developed at Google (www.siyli.org).

  • Coaching with focus on personal development, leadership, change management, conflict management, work-life-integration, envisioning, resilience and self management.
