Background

Lisa Trogisch joined RETURN ON MEANING GmbH in 2023. Originally trained as a conflict analyst, she spent several years researching and working in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Uganda. Her experiences straddle from international projects with e.g. the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) or the German Department Foreign Affairs to local start-ups and think-tanks, while teaching in academic conflict studies on the topics of structural violence, geotrauma and resilience (UCL London, UK; Wageningen University, the Netherlands; University of Sydney, Australia). Throughout her formal eudcation, she obtained a MSc in Political Economy and a PhD at the interface of Conflict Studies & Political Ecology. 

Her passion is to inspire empathetic pathways for connection in and between societies, organisations, individuals and Selfs. As an alumni of the German National Academic Foundation, she also volunteers as a mentor, has a train-the-trainer education and is a prospective certified mediator (CONSENSUS, ZMediatAusbV) with a Hostile Environment and Awareness Training (HEAT) certificate.
